I'm a 22 year old female hobbyist that lives in a somewhat secluded mountain region of Lake Tahoe, California, USA. My full name is a giant headache as you can see so I usually just go by Si (Psy) for simplicity. I can be found on Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, and Instagram under Si Naillon or mouthmango, but most all of my work you'll only find here. I have a deep love for nature photography, specifically land and waterscapes, flowers, animals and macro. I'm hoping to learn astrophotography as well now that I have a DSLR camera (yes I know my Rebel is technically a DSLR but it's nothing compared to my new camera). I've been practicing this hobby for a few years now but I know I still have an amazing amount to learn, and I look forward to the journey! I have no formal training (unless a High School black and white film class counts) so I'm just trying to learn as I go. Any advice, tips, and critiques are very welcome, as I'm always looking to improve my skills so I can better capture this beautiful world we live in. It's also fair to say I'm a giant nerd. Video games, books, movies, TV shows, I have so very many 'nerdy' loves (P.S. Trek rules, Wars drools lol).
Most of my lenses are specifically meant for DSLR cameras, though a few are not from back when I only had my Rebel. Two of my lenses are not compatible with my DSLR without an expensive adapter so I've decided for now to keep my old camera so I can still use those lenses without spending a fair amount of money to buy an adapter to make them work with my DSLR.
